Come and join the Rare Birds team! 

We are looking for a book and people-loving person to join our small and passionate crew at Rare Birds Book Shop. This is a part-time, position based in our Stockbridge store. Shifts will be weekly on Saturday/Sunday between 10am-6pm with opportunities for additional shifts to cover holidays & events.

As a bookseller, your days will be spent talking to people, recommending books and helping to keep our bustling store running like a well-oiled machine. Previous bookselling experience is desired but not required - if you have good sales or retail experience, a love of reading and lots of energy, this could be the role for you.  

What we’re looking for 

Our ideal candidate is an avid reader with a strong interest in women’s writing. You’ll be joining as a valued member of a tight-knit team and for the right person this will be a dynamic role that evolves over time and offers lots of opportunity for creativity, variety and growth.
