Every month, we create two story summaries for you to choose from in our members’ area. The title of your book will remain a surprise until you receive it in the post.

New book choices go live on the 25th of each month. We’ll update you in our monthly newsletter so keep an eye on your inbox.

New subscribers: you will choose your first book straight away upon redeeming your gift voucher.

Rare Birds Book Club is here to help you break out of your comfort zone and discover books you’d never otherwise have picked up for yourself. That’s the magic of being in a book club!

If the worst should happen, contact us and we’ll sort it out. But first – please check the date. If it’s before the 10th of the month it’s more than likely still on its way (and usually magically appears as soon as you click send on your email).

Our subscription books are recently published to avoid you receiving a book that’s already on your bookshelf. If you do own the book this month, please email us at help@rarebirdsbookclub.com and we’ll arrange a swap.

Unfortunately at the moment we are only offering postage within the UK.

Yes! Your book subscription will fit through the letterbox.

For our UK subscribers delivery is free. For bookstore purchases, postage will be added at checkout.

Our books are sent via the wonderful Royal Mail; truly the most reliable shipping source in the UK.

Yes. You’ll have the option to choose your delivery address at checkout. If you need to update your address after your subscription begins, you can do so in the members’ area from your account details page.

If you subscribe mid-month, we’ll send out your first book within a few days of ordering.

Definitely not! Rare Birds is here to champion great fiction written by women. But as much as all our books happen to be penned by kick-ass female authors, we choose books that can (and should) be enjoyed by everyone.

On its way! We are currently dispatching all orders within 3 days by first class post. The Royal Mail is under extreme pressure at the moment and once its in their hands we have no control over any delays to postal deliveries.

If 10 working days have passed and there is no sign of your parcel, please get in touch so we can find a solution! We want your gifts to arrive just as much as you want to receive them.
